About Cathy
Cathy Keane is a candidate for Mayor of Oro-Medonte in the 2026 Ontario municipal election. With over 12 years of community service — including four years as Ward Councillor — Cathy brings proven leadership, fiscal accountability, and a deep commitment to every corner of Oro-Medonte.
Cathy Keane has dedicated more than a decade to serving the residents of Oro-Medonte. As Ward Councillor from 2018 to 2022, she championed transparent governance, responsible spending, and community-first decision-making. Her professional background spans 15+ years in Agriculture and Agrifoods, TDG training, and office management. Beyond elected office, Cathy has volunteered as OH&S Committee Chairperson, participated in Walk for MS and Joints in Motion (raising over $10,000), and served on the School Council and Women Empowered Unite. She is running for Mayor in 2026 on a platform of fiscal accountability, infrastructure investment, and bringing every community together as One Oro-Medonte.
